Each year, Illinois electric cooperatives send high school juniors to learn more about democracy and our state. On March 20th, Clay Electric Cooperative sent students to Springfield to tour the state capital and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. Three of these students were selected to be sent to Washington, D.C. for a week of visiting historic sites, memorials, and seats of government. The DC trip was from June 14th to the 21st. The winners of the DC trip were pulled from the group attending the Springfield trip. Dates for the 2025 Youth Tour have not yet been announced.
